Refund and Returns Policy

Effective date: Nov 15, 2025

Scope: Applies to goods purchased through AVU’s online store, shipped within Canada.

 

Overview

We want you to be satisfied. Our returns and refunds policy explains options for faulty products, incorrect shipments, change-of-mind returns (where eligible), and warranty claims.

 

1. Defective or damaged items on arrival

If an item arrives damaged or defective, notify us within 7 calendar days of delivery at [orders@avumgmt.ca] with photos and order number. We will arrange a repair, replacement, or refund at no cost to you. For items damaged in transit, we will coordinate with the carrier and may require a damage claim.

2. Incorrect items

If we shipped the wrong item, notify us within 7 days and we will cover return shipping and ship the correct item.

3. Change-of-mind returns (non-defective)

If you change your mind, eligible items may be returned within 14 days of delivery in unused, resalable condition with original packaging. Personalized, custom-made, clearance, and special-order furniture or home goods may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns—these terms will be noted on the product page.

  • Return shipping: Customer pays return shipping unless otherwise stated.

  • Refunds: Refunds issued to the original payment method within 7–14 business days after we receive and inspect the return, minus the original shipping charge and a restocking fee where applicable.

4. Warranty claims & repairs

Products with manufacturer warranties should be handled as specified in the product documentation. AVU will assist with warranty claims and can facilitate repairs or replacements under warranty terms.

5. Process & exceptions

To start a return or report a defect, email orders@avumgmt.ca with your order number, photos (for damage/defect), and a brief description. We will provide a Return Authorization (RA) and instructions.

AVU reserves the right to refuse returns that do not meet the policy conditions.

6. Refunds & exchanges timeline

Once we receive a returned item and verify its condition, we will process the refund or exchange within 7–14 business days.
